What Causes Empty Gestational Sac After Positive Urine Pregnancy Test?

Hello dr..

Im XXXX i asked u to be my online dr..

As i told u before my first day of last period was XXXXXXX 5 and my ovulation home test showed positive on 18 XXXXXXX .. And i had intercourse on day 19 and 20 XXXXXXX .. I made hgc test on 1st july which was before i missed my period it was 197 .. And then i had a blood test it showed positive pregnancy.. But they told me its too early to make ultrasound.. So i went today 19 july and they made internal ultrasound the doctor told me that there is a sack but it looks empty and doesnt show if inside it a baby or not.. He said i have to come after another 2 weeks.. And he told me he will make for me today blood test and after tomorrow another blood test to show the hgc level if it doubled thats ok if it didnt double that means there ai no baby .. Im worried now and feel sad after waiting one year 10 months i might have an emty sack and no baby inside..

I need to know your opinion could it be that its too early ? If i concieved on 19 jun that is after my ovulation then. The baby is one month in me and if by first day of last period that means im 6 weeks 2 days since that day..

And what are the causes of empty sack that doesnt have a baby ? Does it mean my husband sperm is weak or something with my hermones ?

Hi dear again.

In fact as per your last menstrual period, your gestational age is 6 weeks and 2 days but I don't know how weeks are from ultrasound examination you have done on 19 July.
Hence, please upload your last ultrasound.

As per your LMP, on ultrasound examination we should see a gestational sac with yolk sac and we should hear fetal heart beating.

In my opinion you should wait for Bhcg results, to see evolution of your pregnancy.
If it doubles, means that your pregnancy will grow up and your gestational age is smaller than six weeks.
And I hope your pregnancy will be good, because
your first Bhcg level was very small......

But please upload your last ultrasound scan examination.

Regarding my first hcg i made it july first which was before my expected period in 4 days and it was 197 .. Thats why they told me u might be pregnant because i made the test early before my period and was 197..

Today i will go to take my first hcg test results

And i will take a photo ofmy scan and upload it..

Then tomorrow again i have my other blood test again and hope it doubles

Hi again doctor i was so tired yesterday i couldnt go to the doctor to get the ultrasound copy.. So i went today to make my second blood test it will be ready in 2 hours.. I have the first result it is 45634 MIU/ML i was 6 weeks 2 days when i made it.. Attached the photo

I'm glad to see these results ,because it is within range of your pregnancy age .
But you should upload second range of Bhcg to see the evolution of your
pregnancy .
If it doubles chances for a well-being pregnancy are increased .

Hence upload your second range of Bhcg.

Hi doctor thanks again for your reply..

I went to the same old doctor he told me my second result is higher but it didnt double so i should make abortion i told him i will call and went to another hospital to take another opinion.. When the new doctor saw the blood results he told me he have 2 cases the same as me it didnt double but were higher than the first result which is not bad as both are in the range specialy that im almost going to end week 7 soon.. He also made an abdominal sonogram and he saw a dot .. He said that should be the baby but its too small but what a difference can 2 days make on 19 we didnt see anything feom old doctor who made internal sonogram and now the new doctor made outside sonogram and saw small dot.. He told me as long as blood test are normal although not doubled but is already high and we saw a dot then abortion is nit an option now and it wont hurt to wait two weeks to check again.. And gave me medicine to insert in vag... Twice a day and a small tablet he say if its a healthy pregnancy that will help not to have misscariage .. And it wont hurt to wait two weeks .. If we saw something clear then its meant to be if not then we will think of next step..

What do u think whats your opinion doctor

Hi dear again!

I imagine your situation but is not so bad,because ;

1.Bhcg level isn't doubled but is increased
2.second doctor claims that he saw a dot inside gestational sac
3.you haven't no symptoms to show us that pregnancy has stopped growing,like bleeding and/or lower abdominal cramps

Hence wait for the next examination ,because you may have chances that this pregnancy will be good .

You have right,two days are too little to see the difference ,doctor has confirmed by abdominal ultrasound(a small dot) ,but this can happen.

Take both medicines doctor has prescribed and hope for good results after two weeks ,because in my practice of work I had such a case,and now baby is big children .
