What Causes Elevated Heart Rate And Body Shaking While On Medication For Bronchitis?

default
Posted on Mon, 6 Jul 2015
Question: I am taking a z pack (azithromycin) for bronchitis and I'm concerned some symptoms I am having may be side effects of the medication. I have felt shaky and my heart rate is elevated - for me- and I have developed a couple of reddish bruises/ discoloration marks on my hand and thigh. These developed quickly and I do not believe I have injured them. Any thoughts?

Possible side effects of azithromycin

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your query. I think I would be able to help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible side effects of the antibiotics. the only good way to deal with it is to change the antibiotics.
I think it is being taken for throat infection.
You can try amoxicillin for the same instead.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal
