What Causes Elevated WBC Count?
Question: Sir/ma'am I have a pregnancy related question.
I had sex on the 13th this month.
I have my normal mensuration cycles on the 21th and so they started. I usually have good amount of bleeding on the third day of the cycles but this day It seems to be very light could it be the bleeding after pregnancy ?
I went for check up for my congestion in chest and coughing which wasn't reducing so they asked me to get blood tests. In those the White blood count is elevated. Reference is High 1000 and my count is 14990 ?
What could it be . Please help.

I will advise you to have a urine pregnancy test of the first morning urine sample. the chance s of pregnancy are very less as your date of sexual contact falls outside the safe periods but as per your information the regular flow is decreased , it can be implantation bleeding, but most often it shows only as spotting.Please get back to me with the result of urinec pregnancy test.
Also attach/upload your wbc report so that I can advise you better .

But my periods are going on so will the stick pregnancy test work ?

In case negative (most likely) then nothing to worry as most probably the decreased blood flow in these periods is because of ipill intake.
