What Causes Elevated SGPT And SGOT Levels During Pregnancy?

Question: Hi
We saw elevated SGPT /SGOT during pregnancy of my wife , docter told it will be normal post delivery .
We preformed lever function test today after 40 days of delivery , all the result except SGOT/SGPT are normal
Bilirubin-0.4,direct- 0.1 ,indirect-0.3, alkaline phosphatese-104,total protein -7.5,albumin serum-4.1,globulin serum 3.4,a/g ratio 1.2:1,SGOT-165 ,SGPT 305
Kindly suggest

I understand your concerns.

There is marginal elevation which is normal in pregnancy to certain extent. However I suggest you need a physician who might need to examine for jaundice and also liver ultrasound.

This is difficult to comment without examination.

Thanks for revert , Can you let me know that the elevated SGOT/SGPT during pregnancy will usually normalized after how many months of delivery.
