Brief Answer:
Recent/current Infections

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
I'm Dr. Shuba Hariprasad and will be answering your query today.

Elevated liver enzymes are usually associated with hepatocellular (liver) damage.
It can also occur with heart disease, certain infections (with cytomegalovirus-CMV, ebstein-barr virus - EBV), diabetes and inflammation of the pancreas/gall bladder.

I would :
- get a detailed medical, personal and family history
- physically examine you for any suspicious signs.
-do an ultrasound of the abdomen, a stool routine and blood investigations to look for possible subclinical Infection (hepatitis, for instance)
- evaluate your cardiovascular and gastrointestinal system function

Based on these , I would be able to advice you further.

Most of the causes are reversible and do not need treatment. Values will reduce once the liver heals.
Please.let me know if there is any anything further I can help you with

Wish you good health
Regards,
Dr. Shuba Hariprasad
