Brief Answer:
looks like anxiety. get ecg,x ray chest & usg abdo

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

From your query the symptom of shock like pain in caridac region followed by heat and fear...lasting on and off: more likely to be related to anxiety.

Had it been due to cardiac cause- then it would have some relation to activity and rest; and also there would have been ecg changes associated. It is there from past one year or so and still you are XXXXXXX without anyother bodily complain- this almost rules out heart related cause.

when something is random and longlasting and no new symptom has come up physically- the reason is more likely psychological.

you can get an ecg along with chest x ray to rule out organicity. If they are normal then you should learn relaxation exercise. These exercise will help in reducing the intensity of attacks and later the attacks will just stop.
one may also need some antianxiety for sometime for quick relief.

please donot loose hope as such presentation are quite frequently seen in clinical practice and is completely manageable. Your fear is understandable but try to trust doctors as we would not negate anything just like that.

PS- this can also be due to gastritis or acid peptic disease; ultrasound abdomen can rule out any such problem.

wish you speedy recovery.

please feel free to ask more questions relared to this to clarify your doubts.
