What Causes Early Period After A Sexual Intercourse?
Question: Hi
I have never had period problems before.
I am trying to conceive and using a Clearblue fertility monitor to help. I usually have 27 day cycles and get 3 bars around day 17-18 of cycle. Today I am on day 24 of cycle and I am getting light bleeding which looks different to a period but I am unsure if it could be the start of my period.
I have had very sore nipples but breasts no tenderness and have been weeing a lot, other than that I have no other symptoms.
Can you please try and help me out asap as I am worried if it is a period why have I gone to a 24 day cycle.
I did have intercourse last night and thought bleeding maybe due to being a bit rough but I do have lower stomach cramps.

In my opinion it is your period which come early due to sexual intercourse or may be due to hormonal changes. So please wait and watch for your period.
Do not get tense! Such irregularities occur commonly and the causes are generally benign. I don't suspect pregnancy or its associated complications in the cases, however if you are worried you can get it tested through home urine pregnancy test.
Another possibility that explains this bleeding is implantation bleeding; but usually when it is implantation bleeding, the bleeding is less, brown in color and associated with abdominal cramps.
So do not be worried, sometime period may delayed or come early. As long as your cycles are regular on most occasions, I will not be worried. If your next period will come early, then you should consult a gynaecologist because regular cycle is very important in a women who is planning to conceive.

If cbfm shows 3 bars can I say I ovulate I have used ovulation strips but they always negative so was told to use cbfm. I have use it 3 cycles and only this cycle has it shown 3 bars x
