Brief Answer:
The symptoms can be side effects of glipizide

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

As an endocrinologist, I can say that dizziness, weakness and seeing floaters can be side effects of Glipizide.

Another important thing is that Consuming alcohol while taking glipizide can make the side effects of glipizide worse and may cause symptoms like in your husband's case.

I have an answer for you: Does your husband has recently consumed alcohol?

On the other side, seeing floaters can be attributed to diabetic retinopathy. In that case, I'd suggest consulting an ophthalmologist for the examination of Fundus oculi.

Hope this information is helpful for you.
If you have other questions, feel free and ask.I will be happy to help.

Best regards.
