What Causes Dizziness, Nausea And Mild Headache?

default
Posted on Mon, 8 Sep 2014
Question: I think I have Meniere's Disease. I have all the symptoms but have not been diagnosed. I have rotational dizziness, nausea, mild headache which lasts half a day or so, followed by fatigue for the next day or two. I had three episodes last week, but I don't have episodes very often. The first time was when I was 32 and the room seemed to be spinning so violently it threw me to the floor. I am 65 now and I have had maybe a dozen episodes during that time, until last week when it happened three times. My question is whether diarrhea is a symptom as well. Could that be a separate issue, could I have something other than Meniere's, or is the diarrhea caused from the nausea? My doctor's appointment is not for three more weeks.

Brief Answer:
Meniere's Disease

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Meniere's disease can cause all the symptoms you are suffering from including diarrhea. If the diarrhea is very watery, foul smelling and associated with fever then most likely it is not because of Meniere's disease and it possible because of acute gastroenteritis.
Please see a GP for a prescription of anti vertigo treatment. YOu can be treated with Tab Betahistine three times daily. Tab Pantodac taken before food can improve nausea to an extent

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
