Brief Answer:
Please give additional information.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
To recapitulate: Mother/89 - lives alone - very independent - refused to see a Doctor - has a fall - hit the back - slept unusually deep last few days - was dizzy when she got up - wants to know whether she could have kidney bruising - any self help - taking paracetamol and rest in chair ... (you have Parkinson's hence hubby has to help Mom.
Considering the age of your Mother my thoughts are:
If it is possible that while falling on back there would have been mild trauma to the cervical/neck region or even the brain.
Electrolyte imbalances can cause similar problems.

Although she is not willing, it would be better that she be clinically evaluated, examined and investigated as per the clinical findings.
Combination of excessive sleeping and dizziness after fall are not good symptoms and one must be bit worried about.

Please continue Paracetamol and rest.
Give electrolyte solution and see if it helps.

You may please give me additional information:
Any nausea, vomiting, headache or disorientation?
Any loss of sensorium?
Is speech and gait normal?
Any problems with bladder or bowel habits?
Is there any specific complaints that she has?

Feedback may help me more to assist you better.

Brief Answer:
Yes, I think Electrolyte solutions are available as OTC.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for detailed feedback.
Nice to know that there is no headache, sickness, confusion, talking and thinking normally- I too am bit assured as was bit worried after reading the initial history.
Back is better. Possible cause of dizziness can be quickly getting out of bed. If there is no dizziness at other times, the worry is less.
You may please see her back, see where exactly is it hurting, whether there are bruises. If the muscles are in spasm, she may try Ibuprofen with a PPI like Omeprazole if both of these suit her. This will alleviation of pain and spams better than paracetamol.
Please ask your Pharmacy whether Electrolytes area available as powder to make solution at home or as ready-made solution. These are used in cases are dehydration and must be available os OTC.
Please see the results and let me know the feedback.

Muscle relaxant liniments

If there is no bruise, you may please apply local rubrafacient liniments which gives warmth and hence relaxation of muscles and reduction in pain.
