What Causes Dizziness After Taking Adderall?

default
Posted on Thu, 16 Jun 2016
Question: I was diagnosed with narcolepsy about 10 months ago and was prescribed Adderall. It made me extremely dizzy and had to stop. We tried Ritilan, only 5 mg, hoping I wouldn't get dizzy, but no luck. I now have been taking Nuvigal for about 4 months. It works really well and there is no dizziness. However, about a month ago I started to get blisters in my mouth, especially on my tongue that are very painful. My entire mouth burns and I think its effecting my gums and teeth, starting to cause decay. I also developed red, scaly sores on my legs. While they are not really painful, they are really unattractive and make it difficult to shave my legs. Is there anything I can take to counteract the blisters, pain in my mouth, and sores on my legs so I can continue the Nuvigal? Or, is there something to take with Adderall or Ritilan that would help with the dizziness? I took 60 mg of vyvanse once and it worked well with limited dizziness but after reading lots of reviews online it sounds horrific with really bad potential side effects. I am very discouraged.

Brief Answer:
I think better to take some drug holiday and try again

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.

In my opinion you need to stop the nuvigal as if the lesions are secondary to it they should respond to its discontinuation.

After the disapperance of lesions we can rechallenge to see whether the lesions are only due to nuvigal.

The other option for treatment of narcolepsy is provigil that can be tried without fear of dizziness or other significant side effects.

I hope this helps you.
Thanks and regards.
