Brief Answer:
Dizziness is not due to HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.

First of all, Oral sex carries a low risk as mentioned by your HIV counselor.

Earliest manifestations of HIV can occur only after 4-6 weeks after the high risk contact, if there is HIV infection. Not earlier than that. HIV disease gets established in one's body 72 hours after the entry of organism. So your dizziness following next morning of the oral sex could not be due to HIV at all. Early morning dizziness may likely be due to fall in your blood pressure or spondylosis of your vertebral column. You may have to adjust your dose of Amlodipine as per the guidance of your physician. Your doctor will take care of everything.
Rule out HIV with a blood test 12 weeks after the last high risk contact.
Get well soon.

Last week I felt find for three days, but last Suturday I made a mistake I had oral sex with a man thinking that this was a low risk behaviour but Sunday morning I felt pain in my low half of my body and a burning sensation on my feet. I had three horrible days but always feeling better in the afternoon . Even today I have the burning sensation on my feet on and off. This is really is getting to me. This is mentally thing or I am one of the few that got Hiv for oral sex. I am confused and I will not know if I am infected for about three months I am trying to see how to deal with this for three more months. I saw my doctor and he told to stop using the medication for high blood presure. He told me to take half but I am afraid to take even half. The experiment period with oral sex with men is over I need feel better so I can do my work. This is not what I need, it is frustrating.

Brief Answer:
Diabetes to be ruled out.Antigen test rule out HIV

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
There is nothing serious to be worried so much.
Burning feet and pain over the lower half of your body are not earlier symptoms of HIV disease. You have to rule out Diabetes Mallitus and you have to stop smoking immediately if you have that habit as these conditions can produce burning feet and pain over lower half of the body. Consult your physician, he/she will help you in this regard.
There are tests available to rule out or confirm HIV 1 infection (99% common) by 3-4 weeks after the risky sexual contact, with antigen based test. Thereby you can get relieved from your mental tension.
There are alternative good drugs for hypertension. You can try with the guidance of your Physician.

I was thinking about visiting the emergency room today because of stomach ache and the burning feet. The situation that I am in has been going on for three weeks. No fever with the exception of sore throat I don't have most of the HIV symptoms and I usually have sore throat. I need to test my sugar for diabetic but I had done two weeks ago . I am frustrated because when I feel the way I felt today I work I said to myself it has to be something bad. I f it was from HIV would it last three weeks( from dizziness to stomach ache to burning feet and sore throat

I have one more question how long it takes after a person is infected to feel the symptoms and if all symptoms have to be the same because I heard you said that dizziness and feet burn are not HIV symptoms.

Brief Answer:
Symptom appear after 7years,vary with immunestatus

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As you are going to visit ER Today, most of your problems will be solved.

Earliest HIV manifestations can occur 4-6 weeks after the high risk contact, if one had HIV infection. These manifestations could be like an ordinary viral fever or FLU like syndrome. It is very difficult to suspect HIV with these symptoms.
Then after recovery from these symptoms within a 2-3 weeks, the individual will remain symptomless for not less than 5-7 years by which time his/her immunity goes well below normal and then the individual starts manifestations of AIDS symptoms of right from mouth, skin, Gastrointestinal tract, Respiratory tract and Central nervous system etc. The spectrum is very large and severe according to the stage of immune loss.
