Brief Answer:
Fungal infection likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,

Thanks for reply.

The appearance is typical of superficial fungal infection, though the location is not typical.Anyhow, this can happen with recurrent and prolonged exposure to warmth and moisture.

You can apply 1% clotrimazole cream twice daily for 1 week.If it comes down, continue application for a total of 6-8 weeks(even if it is cleared completely).Otherwise,if it persists, kindly see a dermatologist for direct evaluation.

Meanwhile, keep the area as clean and dry as possible.Moisture and warmth promotes fungal growth.

Hope this will answer your query.
Wishing you good health.
Thank you.
