Brief Answer:
It is likely due to upper respiratory tract infection.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to H.C.M.

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Your difficult swallowing in the throat and mostly phlegm are likely due to upper respiratory tract infection.

It is easily curable so no need to worry.

I advise patients in my clinics with such history to follow these steps-

1) Gargles with warm saline 3 to 4 times a day.

2) Tablet Azithromycin 500mg once a day for 3 days.

3) Tablet Allegra 120 mg twice a day for 5 days.

4) If complaints of throat pain or difficult swallowing then- Tab Flexon SOS after food ( not more than 2 in a day).

5) Syrup Ambrolite S - 5 ml thrice a day for 3 to 5 days.

These are prescription drugs, please consult your doctor regarding the same.

Hope this answers your question.

Please do not hesitate for any query.

I will be happy to answer your questions.
