What Causes Diarrhea, Yellow Mucus In Vomit, Mild Fever And Dry Cough?

Posted on Thu, 16 Apr 2015
Question: Hello! Today I am 9 dpo. Yesterday I woke up with fierce diarrhea and vomitting yellow mucus. By 12pm I felt much better but then around 2pm I felt very warm. I took my temp and it was 100.8 but it kept fluctuating. I had a very sore lower back and my hips were achy also a very dry cough. I took Tylenol and felt much better about two hours later and my fever was gone. I woke up today and feel amazing and my temp is 98.3 I just still have the dry cough. I have been sleeping about 11 hours a night and my boobs feel firm and heavy but not sore. Could yesterday have been a surge from implantation bc at 8 dpo I have pinching on my lower left side in the morning and then night for about an hour each time! Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Needs confirmation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

Post conception, there is a persistent rise in the body temperature by about half-a-degree. If you have been noting the basal body temperature from day one of your cycle, you would notice a sustained rise post ovulation.

The occurrence of diarrhea and vomiting could mean a possible infection or food poisoning since you also had a fever associated with cough. Viral infections also present in a much similar way.

If you suspect conception and implantation, this possibility needs confirmation. You can get an assessment of the serum beta-hCG titres now. Though sleepiness and heaviness in the breasts is seen in very early pregnancy, diarrhea along with vomiting is not a feature. Of course, cramping pain can be a feature.

You can also get a trans-vaginal sonogram to know the status of the pelvic organs.

Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
