Brief Answer: .... Detailed Answer: Hi there.. Have you had an Ultrasound Abdomen done? Since how many days have you started taking the ayurvedic medication? Did you notice symptoms after taking the medication? Any symptoms of nausea , fever, stomach pain associated with the loose stools? It could be viral gastroenteritis / indigestion/ stress etc. I would advise you to continue taking sporolac one tablet 3 times a day. Sporlac helps by maintaining the normal flora of the gut. Drink warm water at regular intervals. Avoid oily, spicy , fatty food. Avoid excessive use of tea, coffee or carbonated beverages. Have rice gruel with a pinch of salt. ORS if you are having many loose stools. Do consult your treating physician who might advise you to get a stool routine test done. Based on the report he/she might start additional medications or order for further investigations. At present, do not take Flagyl. Stress can also cause changes in bowel habits. Any stress related issues in the past 10 days? Do Yoga to help you relax and also regularise your bowel movements. I went through your reports..... Your HDL cholesterol(good cholesterol) is 27, which is a bit low. I would advise you to Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid red meat like mutton. Reduce egg intake to maybe 1 egg twice a week. Regular exercise 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. Include olive oil in your diet . Hope this information was helpful to you . Regards, Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
