Brief Answer: Brief answer....given below Detailed answer... Hel Detailed Answer: Brief answer....given below Detailed answer... Hello, Thanks for the query. I can understand your problem but let me assure you that there is nothing to worry. Besides pregnancy, there can be various causes for delay in periods like... Stress and anxiety A bout of illness Use of certain medications Being overweight or underweight Increased physical activity Change in your schedule like working in nights or vice versa Certain medical conditions like hypothyroidism, increased prolactin levels, polycystic ovary disorder etc. I would advise you to consult a doctor and get thoroughly investigated. In the mean time do the following.. Sleep well. Do yoga and meditation. Eat healthy by taking fresh fruits, green vegetables, almonds, walnuts etc. Drink plenty of water. I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query. Best of luck Thanks

My query is that since she stopped taking novelon a contraceptive, is this causing delay in periods. Also we have already checked the pregnancy test kit test and the result was negative. Please advise

Hello, Although stoppage of birth control pills can cause delay in periods, but since your wife took it for just 3 days,so it should not result in delay of periods. Moreover, periods were delayed by 15 days even before your wife started taking birth control pills. Your wife needs to be investigated properly. In the end I would like to say that their should not be any worry regarding this as it is a quite common phenomenon amongst females and it gets alright with proper medications and lifestyle measures. Thanks
