default
Posted on Fri, 21 Nov 2014
Question: Yes. My name is XXXX and I am 27 years old. I have had thre miscarriages and I now have four children. After my fourth child I had my tubes tied clipped and burned almost six years ago. I must add that I am very furtile. I have a abnormal period every two months but I haven't had it yet. My sex life has changed a lot since my last period. I have all the symptoms that I had while being pregnant before... Could u explain what could be happeneing???

Adding on... The last few times I had sexual intercourse, I bleed afterwards and a couple days later I saw pink when I went to the restroom

Brief Answer:
Get a pregnancy test

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing..
I understand your concern..

The failure rate with tubectomy is 0.3%. This can be a case of failure of tubectomy.. So get a pregnancy test with early morning urine sample..

If the pregnancy test is positive, get a scan done at the earliest as there is greater chance of ectopic pregnancy with tubectomy..

If pregnancy test is negative, you can take progesterone tablet to get withdrawal bleeding..

There can be 2 reasons for spotting.. One is pregnancy.. If pregnancy negative, get a pap smear and vaginal examination to rule out any cervical lesions..

Hope I have answered your query.. Feel free to ask any doubts.. Good day..

Brief Answer:
Dont worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing..

Dont worry.. Pregnancy wont cause any problem to you.. You just have to get a scan for ectopic pregnancy.. If it is normal pregnancy, nothing to you..

Get a pregnancy test with early morning urine sample.. If still in doubt, get hcg blood test.. Value greater than 25 indicate positive pregnancy test..

Hope I have answered your query.. Good day..
