What Causes Delayed Periods And Vaginal Dryness?
Question: Hi Doctor, am late for my period now for 21 days. However i had a spotting for couple of days before i was due, it was more of a discharge when i wipe very little only when wipping. Want to obgyn and he said he couldn't see anything, but he was unsure of something which he marked. Am in holiday and the Dr i saw hardly spoke english. He give me duphaston 10mg tablets twice a day for 10 days.
said i should wait another 10 days for my period. Now am very much confused of what he saw? If am pregnant could it harm the baby? I'm so sleepy since taking the tablets. ohh and am very dry i mean hardly any cervial mucus thourghout since last ovulation day last month, am 26 days cycle last period was due 13/4/14.

In my opinion you shoulddo a urine pregnancy test and if negative take the tablets prescribed to you in same dosage and after completion of course you will get your periods with in a week.
In case you are pregnant and it shows positive in pregnancy test at a later date then also these medicines are safe enough and won't affect the baby.
The dryness you are experiencing is due to the prolonged cycle and will be gone soon once you get your periods.

What I also realised is got a stuffed nose, ear ace, and lots of small pimples which I hardly ever had. Very sore breast right before missed period till now. It's very painful and heavy. Can this happen even if am not pregnant?
