Question: I had the essure procedure done a year ago I have been sick all this month and my period is not here and is late can I possibly be pregnant is it reports of this happening to other women?????

Brief Answer: Do a urine pregnancy test Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for trusting health care magic. Essure system takes around 3 months to be fully effective in preventing pregnancy. It basically blocks both the tubes so that sperms don't reach that ova. Chances of failure are negligible but still to be on safer side do a urine pregnancy test and if negative wait for a week and if u still dont get your periods visit your gynecologist.
