What Causes Delayed Menstruation And Negative Pregnancy Test?
Question: Hi,
I am a 21 year old girl. I had my last period on the 30th of Noverber, 2016. I usually have a cycle of 34-35 days. Since my last period i have had unprotexted sex but my boyfriend made sure that he never ejaculated inside. I have missed by period by about 10 days now. However, i sometimes feel like my period is about to come but it doesn't. I am very stressed about unwanted pregnancy. I did a urine pregnancy home test and it was negative. Please help. Thank you

You have not mentioned on which day of your cycles unprotected intercourse happened.That is important.If it was around your ovulation , then pregnancy has to be kept in mind.Get your pregnancy test with early morning urine sample.
Even precum can have few sperm.
If the test is negative, wait for 5 more days and if no periods either get a blood hcg hormone analysis or an ultrasound scan.
Stress itself can delay your periods .

Thank you for you message doctor. We were together from the 6th of december till the 17th of december and that is the time we had unprotected sex a few times.
I took the pregnancy test with the first urine in the morning.
Will it be okay if I take mifepristone and misoprostol at home as I am nervous about visiting a doctor.

You should not take mifipristone with out confirming intrauterine pregnancy. At times it can be disastrous if the pregnancy is in tubes.
Hence I suggest you to repeat blood hormone hcg or an ultrasound scan to confirm pregnancy. Intercourse around 14th to 16th was risky as you are around ovulation.
But delay can also be due to your stress in view of urine test.so repeat blood test.
