Brief Answer:
Several causes of delayed periods

Detailed Answer:
Hi Pavithra, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy or any hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease, or due to stress.
I would like to have the information whether or you are sexually active or not, as further line of management will depend on it.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back to me with the information, if feasible.
Wishing you good health.
Regards,
Dr Deepti Verma

Brief Answer:
No need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi Pavithra, thanks for responding. The cause of delayed periods can be stress or other hormonal disturbances as I mentioned before. You can safely wait for 4 weeks after your expected date of periods for the next periods to come. If they still don't come, then you can take drugs to induce withdrawal bleeding.
In that case, you should also get yourself investigated properly to find out the reason for delayed periods.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
