Brief Answer:
Suspecting an upper GI bleed, need upper GI endoscopy

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Dark coloured bowels are either due to an upper GI (gastrointestinal) tract bleed or due to high intake of iron (usually in the form of oral supplements).

But as you have also mentioned diarrhoea in your symptoms, I do suspect this to be related to a possible abnormality in the upper GIT (e.g. stomach ulcer), and would urge you to report to your doctor at the earliest; most importantly for an upper GI endoscopy.

I hope you can find the medical help you need and reach good health once again. Please do not hesitate to write to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
