Brief Answer:
Stress or fatigue in the foot leads to cramp

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query
I Dr. Chugh Orthopaedic surgeon, after going through your query, the cause of your suffering could be because of excessive physical exercises as it all started after walking on the treadmill and may not be supplemented by proper diet. The other common causes are –
Poor circulation to foot, lack of potassium, dehydration, pinched nerves, alcohol/tobacco use.It needs physical examination to confirm.
My suggestion for you would be –
1. Slowly pull the foot away from the cramping position and hold it there until the foot cramp disappears. Try massaging the foot for five to 10 minutes until the foot cramp feels better.
2. Take a dose of aspirin or ibuprofen to relieve a foot cramp and elevate your foot to the level of your waist.
3. Use moist heat on the foot cramp three times a day if cramping is chronic and try a warm foot soak
4. Wrap the foot in an elastic bandage, if necessary and take balanced diet rich in calcium (1000mg/day) and vitamin D (1000 i.u. /day) along with vitaminB12, B6.

Hope this information suffices.
Take care and I shall be glad to answer any further query.

Brief Answer:
Unusual to last so long;needs blood test

Detailed Answer:
Hello
It’s good to see you again
It is unusual for the single injury incident to last for that long, therefore my advice would be you need a physical examination and blood test to find out the cause. The recommended tests are – serum calcium, phosphorus, alkaline phosphotase, and vitamin D and B12 level, blood sugar level.
Do you smoke or take alcohol?
You may start with brisk walk and increase it gradually on a weekly basis supplemented by balanced diet and other suggestion as discussed earlier.

Hope this helps.
Take care
Dr.chugh

Brief Answer:
Bone and nerve's health needs evaluation by test

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The test are done to assess the bone health or to rule out bony metabolic disorder by having blood test like serum calcium, phosphorus, alkaline phosphotase, and vitamin D .They should be in within normal limit. Similarly, the common cause for nerve irritation/neuropathy leading to cramps is deficiency of vitamin B12 level and increase blood sugar level.
To sum up these test's along with physical examination will help us to reach a diagnosis of your suffering and we would be in a better position to treat you.
Hope this information suffices.
Wish you good health
