Brief Answer:
You can give Axalin

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Cough and running nose in this age is mostly due to some viral infection. This viral infection is usually contracted from the family members or other babies.
Axalin contains Guaifenesin and Ambroxol. It can be safely given to the babies of this age group and it is a good expectorant.
There is always some allergic component admixed with viral infection which causes cough and cold.I would like to give a syrup containing antihistaminic(chlorpheniramine) with nasal decongestant(phenylephrine) two to three times a day for 4-5 days for early relief in running nose and cough.

This is a prescription medicine so please get it prescribed by a physician.

Although most of the time this infection remains limited to upper respiratory tract and subsides within few days, but sometimes it may involve the lower respiratory tract and can cause breathing problem.
So I would suggest you to keep a close watch for any respiratory difficulty or feeding problem and if you notice any consult your pediatrician.
I shall be glad to answer if you have any more query.
Regards
