Question: Dear XXXXXXX

I m doing well. Wat about you.
My new born baby girl ia now 48 days old. she is fine and feeding breast milk properly however since she completed her 40 days she has not been releasing motion frequently as she used to earlier.
Also since last 3 days she has not released motion at all but urinating properly.
I am worried however relatives says its normal situation after completion of 40 days. Today we will give her HEENG if she does not release motion.
Pls suggest some medicine for infant if possible or best way forward.

Brief Answer:
You should not worry about it.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX

Thanks for trusting me once again about your baby's health.

You are always welcome here and I feel happy to facilitate you.

You should not worry about it, it is a normal physiological variation.

After 40 days, child bowel habit changes and she poops in 3-4 days usually and it is considered normal.

As she is on breastfeed only and she is in her growing age, she may poop in 5-7 days that are also considered normal because she is urinating properly.

So please do not take any stress, she will poop in a few days.

Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.

Good day.

God bless her.

Regards
Dr.Richa
