What Causes Cold, Frequent Sneezing And Fever?

Question: Hi,

Sometimes my husband gets cold, sneeze and after that feels feverish. This is happening for quite a few times now. This doesn't happen on regular basis but he feels like this sometimes. Please advice what I need to do.

Hi and thanks for the query.

Frequent sneezing, running and blocked nose can be due to allergies of the nose.
Do not worry.
See an ENT specialist for confirmation.
If it indeed turns out to be allergy then the treatment is rather simple.
He will need antihistamine and antileucotrine tablets and steroid nasal spray.
With the treatment symptoms can be easily controlled.

Fever will never occur only with allergy. But due to congestion that normally occurs with allregy his nose is secondarily getting infected leading to fever.
