Question: Hi doctor I'm really worried and it's driving me mad I had a really bad cold a couple of weeks ago and I was coughing green phlem doctor listened to my chest and it was clear sounded fine but he did my peak flow and it varies between 450-480.
The doctor said it was low and gave me an inhaler and gave me antibiotics.
Well my chest hurts feels bruised no pain or Nything more like an ache I feel short of breath and it feels like a struggle to take deep breaths and I keep panicking and it's scaring me.
I ended up going the hospital I had and ecg and my oxygen in my body was 98 too my chest was clear and the hospital didn't seem too worried.
I have anxiety but I'm convinced I'm dying if don't cough up mucos no more but sometimes when I cough my I get a salty taste in my mouth.
Is my peak flow normal

Brief Answer:
acute bronchitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query.
In my opinion you have lower respiratory tract infection , that is the reason for producing greenish color phelgm.
Along with this you have acute bronchi constriction , causing difficulty in breathing.
For this, treatment would be inhaler, antibiotics which you have taken.
Your peak exp flow meter is low, this is common when there is infection +bro choconstriction.
Salty taste is the taste of the mucous which is normal.
Treatment which you have taken is correct.
It will take at least 3weeks for cough to completely reduce.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have advised to continue with inhaler and add on antihistamines with mucolytic tablet for 2 weeks + expectorant cough syrup.
Don't worry, you will be fine in another weeks time.
Hope my answers have helped you.

Your peak flow meteris moderately low.but do not worry.
One episode of cough and lung infection will not lead to asthma and copd.

capacity abd clear the chest.
Avoid eating oily andcold items.
