Brief Answer:
Treatment seems fine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Treatment seems fine, as it will take care of your current symptoms. But this can be even common cold and not asthma.Post dengue immunity is low and one can get such infections.

Many times asthma is primary diagnosis , but later patient dont get any symptoms.Blood tests and chest xray are not diagnostic of asthma.

Ideal would be to take treatment as suggested till symptoms clear off.Once symptoms are gone, get pulmonary function tests done to see if at all you have asthma.

If test show asthma than see chest physician.

Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards

Thanks Dr. for your quick reply, so do i need to avoid to seat in A/C in office and avoid to travel on bike (to avoid dust infection). How long it will take to clear of symptoms of asthma and cold and cough. I am having weekness also after dengue treatment and body pain, so is this due to cold and cough, also my eyes are very sleepy sometimes headache as well. I suspect this is due to to cough and cold but not sure. Please suggest.

Brief Answer:
These are combined symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
These are combined symptoms of both dengue and cold.Symptoms of cold will resolve within a week, so those persisting after that will be dengue related which will take time to resolve, let say 3 months.Try to build immunity by good food, sleep and moderate exercise once you feel little better.

Avoid being in AC room or travel on bike till these cold related symptoms resolve.

Once these symptoms resolve get evaluated for asthma.
