Posted on Sat, 15 Oct 2016
Question: I have been going to my ENT doctor and he has me using Neilmed once a day. I have to fly to Mexico City this morning and my sinus's drain all the time which produces a clear fluid. I cannot get much sleep and my doctor is out on Sunday. Is there anything I can use to dry up my sinus drainage?

Brief Answer:
its better to avoid flight travel!!

Detailed Answer:
Hello

The best thing would be to avoid traveling by flight altogether as it can worsen your sinusitis and can even lead to an ear infection.

However if you cannot avoid it altogether , then as a temporary measure you can take tablet levo cetrizine 10 mg, it will help dry up the discharge.

If you do not have high blood pressure then i would also like you to put o.1% oxymetazoline nasal drops, 2 drops in each nostril, 5 minutes before take off and 5 minutes before the plane is about to land. this will keep your nose open and let the sinuses drain.

You can continue your regular medicines which the doctor has already prescribed to you.

Take care!
