What Causes Chronic Numbness In The Feet?

default
Posted on Sat, 14 Jan 2017
Question: over the past say eight years or so my feet have been gradually been getting more and more numb. It started in my first two toes next to my big toe. it is pretty much symetrical on both feet. now the pain is so bad i have trouble walking. my pcp say it isnt neuropathy and suggested a foot doctor. the foot doctor ordered tests but i am having trouble getting the test done. he said it could be tarsal tunnel because i have extremely flat feet. any thoughts? till i get my tests done.

Brief Answer:
Antineuralgic drugs for symptoms relief.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Until you get the tests done to confirm the diagnosis, you can use antineuralgic drugs to ease your symptoms.

Pregabalin for example is a possibility.

Use of creams locally such capsaicin cream also may improve your symptoms.

Tests will determine your diagnosis.

Discuss with your Doctor about these treatment possibilities.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Kind regards.
