This has been going on for about two years. The weight loss happened over a three month peroid.I pumped him full of pedialyte V8 juice and insure.Vegetables seem to go right through him but it doesn't seem to matter what he eats the samething happens.I've taken away his hot sauce and spicy foods. He has blood in his stool sometimesbut i thought it was a hemmroid. He complains of being bloated. He complains his feet are always numb and tingling unless he has on socks. And it is only certain socks.I've checked his blood sugar repeatedly he is always normal.
he doesn't have to eat for the diahrrea to start. There has been no redding of the eyes.It started with him getting sick he couldn't sleep or eat for a few days .so he played a video game.He had a seizure. He is not an epileptic. Then he stated loosing his balance he fell and cracked his skull. They said he had a piece of his skull pressing down on his brain. They gave him dialantin it made it worse. So we took him off the dialantin. He still has the seizures just not as often. Then he started not being able to eat ,throwing up,then the diahrrea started. It has just gotten progressively worse. He can't handle working anymore. He was a XXXXXXX layer. The last job he did he climbed the scaffoling he came to his father holding by the collar trying to keep him from falling off the roof.He can't handle the heat anymore it never used to bother him.Just walking to the store became a chore. He has always been the type to walk everywhere.I've been with him for 23 years this is the weakest i've ever seen him.But because he doesn't have an income right now getting a decent doctor has been almost impossible. They keep telling him he doesn't qualify for any help. It's been frustrating and scary because i'm afraid he won't make it through another round of this.I don't know what else to do i'm not a doctor and i'm doing everything i know to do .It's kept him alive but for how long. What else can i do?

Brief Answer:
Investigations advised

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend

These are two different issues:
1. Seizure disorder.
2. Chronic Diarrhea.

Since he had blood in his stools, you can't imagine yourself that this is because of Hemorrhoids.

It is important to rule out diseases like Inflammatory Bowel disease like Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's disease.

If he is getting seizures even now (even infrequent), i would classify him into category of epilepsy.

I don't find any reason to wait.

Life is precious.

You have to any how get his complete evaluation.

I advise you following investigations:
1. Hemogram with ESR
2. Liver and Kidney Function test
3. Ultrasound Abdomen
4. CRP
5. Colonoscopy
6. Stool Examination
7. MRI Brain
8. EEG

You have to get him investigated, a treatment for him can be suggested only after he gets these investigations.
I would advise you to discuss with your doctor about my opinion. I am sure he/she would agree to it.
Stay Healthy.
