What Causes Chronic Abdominal Pain Sporadically Spreading Towards Back And Breast Bone?

Question: Hi, Dr. Am having abdominal pain for more than a year ago, which comes and go back for some weeks or months. The pain mostly is on my upper right abdoment and sometimes spread to my breast bone and my back, however, this days I started feeling the pain around my whole stomach. I have a history of taking overdose lamivudine for hepatitis b for about 4 months, since from then I started feeling the pain. Am also having some hunger feeling pain for about 15 years, which used to wake me up from sleeping, I also have indigestion problem and frequent diarrhoea. Pls doctor what is your suggestion. Thanks

note: My Heb b is negative e antingent with negative DNA.

Read and understood your problems:
To recapitulate: Male/30 - H/O hunger feeling pains for 15 years which used to wake you up from from sleeping - also have indigestion and frequent diarrhea - Abdominal pain for more than a year - which comes and goes for weeks or months - mostly right upper but now all over abdomen and sometimes to breast bone and back - wants suggestions...

My suggestions after reading the history you have provided are:
I would advise the following investigations and treatment in a such a case:

Investigations:
*Routine blood investigations like Complete blood picture, blood sugar, urea, creatinine, liver function tests, thyroid function tests.
*Urine -routine and microscopy
*Stool: routine, microscopy, occult blood, culture and sensitivity.
*Ultrasonography of abdomen,
*Colonoscopy
*Upper GI Endoscopy...
* A good clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon or a Gastroenterologist..

All these things can help us to get the exact diagnosis.
One an exact diagnosis is done further treatment is easy....

I have done all the mention test except urine microscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopy, blood sugar and evaluation by surgeon. my LFT has slight variation. I have recently done a ultrasound scan, though I don't know the result, but my doctor called me for blood test. Doctor what do u assume for this blood test, does he detect something from the scan?

Slight variation in LFT can not cause such problems.

Since you have a long standing problem, please get all the tests done.
This is very important protocol to be followed to get a proper diagnosis. Then only we can come to a proper diagnosis.
