What Causes Buttock Pain?

default
Posted on Tue, 8 Jul 2014
Question: I have had buttock pain for 18 months. it used to be merely uncomfortable. I could sit through a 2-hour play - just. Recently it has got a lot worse. A car journey of 20 minutes is the most I can manage without needing to stand. I have heard of prolotherapy. Do you recommend this or are there other treatments? Where can I receive them? Brief Answer:
Buttock pain can sacral in origin which is in midl

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have studied your case.
Buttock pain can sacral in origin which is in midline of buttock at end of tail bone.
Do you have pain on tail bone?
Another possibility of spinal nerve compression.
Due to compression of spinal nerve root there can be pain in your buttocks

I will advise you to do MRI spine
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.

Prolotherapy may work for sacral pain but for nerve root pain it may not.
You can search prolotherapist near your locality on our website.
