What Causes Burning Sensation While Urinating?

default
Posted on Fri, 12 Feb 2016
Question: I am experiencing a burning sensation when I urinate. This is usually followed by a white/cloudy/sticky, and sometimes slightly yellow discharge. I'd say the consistency is close to that if ejaculate. I am monogamous and have only had sex with one person ever. My wife had one partner before we met, but that was over 17 years ago. She has been faithful to me.

Is it possible that I could still contract an STD with all that I stated being true? Or is possible that this is not an STD and just an infection?

Brief Answer:
Check for STD/ UTI. and clear your doubts.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to HCM.

As an Urologist, i can fully understand and share your concern.
Your symptoms are very suggestive of an urinary infection.
This can be confirmed by doing, urine routine and culture test.
If infection is seen, antibiotics will be needed.
Drink 10-12 glasses fluids daily.
An alkayser solution, like citralka, twice daily, helps relieve the burning sensation.

Your concern of STD, may be ruled out, by doing blood VDRL,HbsAg,and HIV tests.
As you had epididymitis with abscess forming, and a prolonged treatment, i'd suggest, you do a semen analysis test also.
Contracting STD now, in your case, is remote, with the history, you've mentioned.

Once the reports are sent to me,i can give you an expert opinion, and clear all your doubts, completely.

Wish you a speedy recovery.
