default
Posted on Sat, 21 Jan 2017
Question: I have a burning sensation on the right side of my lower abdomen... About 2 inches above the pubic hair line... I can feel a small lump and it is sore to the touch... Not extreme pain just a burning sensation... Just hoping this doesn't sound like an appendix acting up... Thanks for your help - Merry Christmas...

Brief Answer:
You should be investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome to HCM,

Pain in the right lower abdomen is commonly due to Appendicitis or Right sided Ureteric colic. Both these conditions will not produce a lump.

If lump is palpable,it could be due to Lipoma(fat swelling) or a Sebaceous cyst which got infected beneath the skin.

Ultrasound abdomen will confirm the diagnosis.
Please consult your doctor, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.

Hope I answered your query.
If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health, Merry Chirstmas to you too..
Regards
