What Causes Burning Sensation In Perineum And Sting In Urethra Post Intercourse?

default
Posted on Wed, 23 Dec 2015
Question: I had a casual encounter with a sex worker that included unprotected oral sex for just a few minutes before I freaked out a made her put on protection for us both. Afterwards we used a condom for actual intercourse. But immediately after the encounter I got a little freaked out and completely doused my penis, testicles, everything in hand sanitizer. Over the next 3-4 days I washed my genital area with every single type of soap I can find and repeated the hand sanitizer remedy 2 or 3 more times. I am a married man and knew that I made a mistake and the guilt has had me repeating this act over and over. It has now been about a week and for the last few days I have occassionally had a very mild sting around my pee hole (i think its called the urethra) and I have had a very slight burning sensation near my perenium area. I drank lots of water and wore no underwear to bed two nights ago and it completely went away then than night I got an erection and the occassional sting and slight burning came back. It comes and goes and when the burning is there it feels kinda like icy hot where the skin is somewhat sensitive to both hot and cold. Nothing happened yesterday for the entire day until I apparently got an erection during the night while cuddling my wife. When I drink lots of water and therefore urinate a lot everything seems to go away. I do not have any rashes, discharge, sores, bumps, odors, or any other noticeable issues. I did a bit of a google search and apparently I am not the only person who has tried the stupid hand sanitizer idea to clean the XXXXXXX and they appear to have similar issues. But I wanted to check with you.

Hello

Thank You for contacting HCM. My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. Your symptoms are more in favor of Urinary Tract Infection(UTI).If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:

- drink adequate water.
- take very good care of personal hygiene.
- wash genital area thoroughly after using washroom.
- avoid sexual intercourse till you become healthy again.
- Avoid coffee, alcohol, and soft drinks containing citrus juices and caffeine until your infection has cleared.

If your condition does not improves with these measures then you need to visit hospital for further workup that will include urine complete examination and antibiotic therapy that will fasten the recovery

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
