Now after more than a month the infection has spread between my legs and in my testicles. The doctor has prescribed now Onabet cream,Tyza powder and terbest tablets.

Want to get a second opinion on this. Will it help me recover and how long will it take. Seems to spreading rather than stopping.

Brief Answer:
Need to look at the rash

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
You had been diagnosed and adequately treated for fungal infection. With the treatment you were given , the infection should have ideally healed.
I would first like to have a look at the exact skin rash. Kindly click some close up pictures of the affected area and upload them here on this page.
Also assuming it to be a fungal infection , we need to find the reason for persistence of the infection .
Please tell if you apply any oil or moisturiser over the affected areas on regular basis.
Have you ever got your blood glucose levels checked?
Have you been taking and applying the prescribed medicines regularly ?

I am sure I will be able to help you better once you provide me the above details and the pictures .

Brief Answer:
Fungal infection with folliculitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

I have seen the attached pictures.

You surely have fungal infection over the groin region but I also see an element of follicular infection which is folliculitis.

I would like to add azithromycin to your treatment . Take tablet azithromycin 500 mg once a day for four days . Also take tablet levocetrizine at night daily for four days .
Apply onabet b cream twice to the affected areas.
You can continue to take terbinafine as advised by your doctor .
You can follow the above treatment for at least five days and then follow up .

Wearing of tight clothes leading to excessive sweating is surely a reason for recurrent fungal infections but we will try to manage it .

Brief Answer:
Reasons for delayed healing

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

Wearing cotton trousers would surely help in early healing .
There can be two issue related to long term wearing of jeans which could lead to prolongation of healing in your case.
Increased sweating and continuous friction are two things caused by jeans which might delay complete healing.
Do it would be better to slightly modify your wardrobe for sometime . Also make sure you wear cotton undergarments as well.
Although complete cure can take something around two weeks ,but I would like to see a positive response in five to seven days .
