What Causes Burning Sensation After Meth Shot?
Question: I have missed the vein when shot meth burns and have a knot I have been rotateing between ice and moist heat what should I do

You should apply ice only,keep ypur arm elevated. but it would be smarter to visit doctor who can determine is there infection or not. In case of infection,you need antibiotic treatment. It would be smart to take prophylactic antibiotic( amoxicilin) for 5 days to prevent possible infection. Also, you must not have another shot since this on ewill be absorbed into blood stream any you could be overdosed. Wish you good health. Feel free to ask.

First off thanks doc ,I do have a script that is clindamycin 150 mg ( it was from dental vist) dir. Is to take 1 cap ever 6 hr will that help the swelling has gone down NO red streaks in arm ,still have knot , but pain is much better and it is not
As warm to touch ,and one last thing should I rub the knot after a few days to help it go away ?

It is always smarter to take antibiotics under doctors control,but if you are not allergic to clyndamicin you can take 3 of it every 8 hours just today. It will prevent possbile infection,but it will not facilitate resorption of this knot.
It is good that there is no redness, pain ,fever or pus secretion.
Knot is caused by fluid under your skin in subcutaneous space or in your muscles. it will dissolve spontaneously in next few days. You can massage it easily,but use desificiens on point of prick. also keep your arm elevated and out elastic bandages around it.
