What Causes Bumps On The Hands Of A Person With Lupus?
Question: I have these bumps on my hand. One finger almost looks swollen because bump is big. Two of them are on occasion itchy. They are warm. I have lupus. I want to know what I can put on them so they don't get worse since I don't have dr appointment until next week
Brief Answer:
Seems to be folliculitis, topical antibiotic & anti inflammatory medicines
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
According to your complaints it could be folliculitis which is inflammation of the hair follicle.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply topical antibiotic like neosporin ointment on the affected areas twice daily for 5-7 days.
Also for swelling I would recommend you to take anti inflammatory medicines like ibuprofen.
