What Causes Bumps On Penis?

default
Posted on Tue, 14 Jul 2015
Question: Hello, If I send you a picture of the bumbs on my penis, will you be able to tell me if there is a remote possibility that they are not an STD?

I am not experiencing any pain or discomfort. In fact, they are not sensitive to the touch at all. I have already scheduled a medical appointment.

I have already scheduled an appointment for an STI test. While I am well aware that you cannot say for sure simply by viewing a picture, I am just looking for the honest truth.

Best regards,

Brief Answer:
Let's wait and watch.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

The truth is stranger than fiction. these might be no more than normal bumps occurring on the shaft, due to accumulation of sebaceous substances in the hair
follicle. Thus they cannot be said to be macules, papules nor pustules. Furthermore
there is no etiology. You cannot deem for a fact whether there has been any exposure to germs that cause STD. You cannot diagnose an STD before the tests
come out.

That is a fact. You might want to wait for the STI reports. Just because you have had or could have had an exposure does not mean for a 100% fact that you have to get an STI. Even if the other partner has STI.

So relax. This is an approach that makes sense. It's 2015 and almost all of them are curable and can be palliated.
