What Causes Bump In Head After A Head Injury?
Question: I fell and hit my head hard, I had symptoms of a slight concussion that last 1 day. It's been 4 months and I still have a bump on the back of my head. Will it ever decrease?

Bump in the head after head injury is due to local collection of blood called as hematoma.
With passage of time this hematoma gets resolved of its own gradually.
Sometimes this hematoma doesn't get resolved and gets fibrosed and calcified.
Once the bump becomes fibrosed and calcified,then it persists for ever.
If it is not causing pain,then there is nothing to worry and can be easily overlooked and forgotten.
