What Causes Brownish Vaginal Discharge During Urination?
Question: I have been having a sort of brown discharge when I wipe and occasionally when I pee. It has been hoing on for about a week now.

Thanks for contacting HCM . I would be better for me if you mention about your age, sexually active or not and taking any medications.
What you may be experiencing is probably a breakthrough bleeding in the middle of the cycle possibly due to stress induced hormonal imbalances if pregnancy has been ruled out earlier.
Else it can be even an implantation bleed within 7 days of intercourse which is a retrospective diagnosis if pregnancy test ( blood serum beta hcg test is positive) is positive.
if pregnancy is ruled out , then it can stopped with use of antifibrinolytics like tranexamic acid tabs 500mg the=rice a day for 3 days.

Hello. Yes I am 24 years old. I am sexually active. My first suspicion was pregnancy because I missed my period. But I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. This is why i am worried that it might he something else.

If you have missed you periods and the pregnancy test is negative then this light brown discharge could be an irregular shedding of endometrium. It is suggested that you get an ultrasound pelvis to check for endometrial thickness . If it is more than 10mm then you should opt for withdrawal bleed with progestins to resume your menses.
This delay is likely to be stress induced if you are not on any hormonal medication to delay your menses or on oc pills.
Please visit your physician for a review and ultrasounds.
