What Causes Brownish Red Spots On Pubic And Inner Thigh Area?

default
Posted on Tue, 9 Sep 2014
Question: I have brownish, red spots on my pubic bone, inner thigh and leg and also now around my tailbone. There were additional spots on my arm, but those seem to have cleared up with an anti fungal cream. There are no blisters of any sort. The skin is totally flat, and maybe a bit flakey. What do you think this is? I have been in a monogamous relationship with my husband for 4 years. No exposure to STD's. My daughter had ringworm, so I was exposed to that. But I don't know if it is normal for that to show up around tailbone and pubic area.

Brief Answer:
Likely that you have dermatomycosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
thanks for the query,
I have read your query and i have also taken a look at the photos you have attached.

From the photos, you seem to be having a dermatomycosis which is a fungal infection of the skin. Dermatomycosis are not considered as sexually transmissible infections.

Dermatomycosis can occur any where on the body. Public region and tail bone region are even favorable environments as they could be warmth and could be humid. However, you do not need to bother much. A good topical antifungal agent should clear it off. Good topical antifungal agents include; Mycoster, Miconazole, etc. After a week of application, you should have great change.

If you have further query, i will be glad to respond.
Wishing you good health.
