What Causes Brain Fog, Depression, Muscle Pain, Confusion, Headache And Numbness In Arms?

default
Posted on Wed, 15 Jun 2016
Question: Me and my husband have been married for 6 years and only since a little over a year we are experiencing symptoms that make us sick:
- brain fog,
- depression,
- muscle pain,
- joint pain,
- confusion,
- headaches,
- numbness and tingling in arms and feet...
- feeling as if something is traveling through our body)...

All these symptoms seem to be the same as the ones for "Candida Overgrowth"...

BUT the main problem is that for some strange reason it seems that it is connected to sex:
every time after an intercourse all those symptoms come back stronger than before.
These can occur after hours from the intercourse or in any case within the following day... and stay latent every day... we feel slightly better if we have no intercourse for days (or weeks), but the symptoms still remain.

My husband can feel all these symptoms stronger than me, almost immediately.
It is as if I had some type of vaginal bacteria that would trigger something and make us sick again.

During the intercourse (or after) we have:
- no pain,
- no itchiness,
- no redness,
- no discharge,
- no peeling,

The only thing my husband gets sometimes (but not immediately after sex), is some skin rashes that come and could disappear within hours. (In form of tiny little bubbles).

He has been suffering of Athlete's Foot (dark spots under his foot plantar) for years and he surely did not cure that fungus/those fungi well enough.

- No POS (post orgasmic syndrome). My husband is not allergic to his semen, nor is it related to ejaculation.
- No Vitamin D lack.
- No thyroid problems.
- Not suffering of OCD
- No STDs (we have been checked for those).

We have two kids (the youngest is almost 2 years old).
I am taking the pill, so no excessive bleeding or any vaginal visible problems.

I am just lost and don't know where to start looking for some answers.

Brief Answer:
B12 deficiency also should be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. B12 deficiency is other nutritional deficiency which can give the symptoms you mentioned. You can check vitamin B12 levels in blood to rule out this. This should be kept above 500 even though deficiency is said to be below 200 pg/ml.
Bubble like appearance which comes and disappears fast is most likely allergic reaction. Genital herpes last for days and crusting of lesions will be there also.
Take nutritious foods. Taking sea foods, meat , eggs milk and milk products etc is good to get B12 , zinc, vitamin E etc which is essential for sexual health. Taking vitamin E and zinc supplements , protein powder etc is also good.
Have proper exercise like jogging or walking daily to maintain the endurance.
Have proper air circulation in room where you having sex also.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Hi,
I am actually not sure that a lack of Vitamin B12 might give all these symptoms, especially and specifically after an intercourse.

We eat very very healthy and everything you mentioned.

As yoluboth getting it is molst likely common factor.

Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up

As you both getting the symptoms and rued out all STDs it is most likely a common factor like nutritional deficiency. And your symptoms matching for B12 deficiency also. So better to rule out that also.
Lack of vitamin E and minerals like zinc and selenium can cause sexual weakness also. So make you are getting those by your diet or by supplements.
How is your ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) in blood routine examination?
In case of any inflammatory process this will be raised. In such case you should do PCR test for Tuberculosis also.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

I got tested for tuberculosis not too long ago and fortunately everything is ok... but I haven't done an ESR test, so I might try that one out to see if there is any inflammation or something specific going on.

But would some type of bacteria/inflammation etc get "triggered" after an intercourse? And besides that... what type of bacteria/parasite etc can give you the feeling of something "moving" through your body?

It happens that we have a brain fog or a muscle/joint pain... and then it travels through the body in a different part. (From the head to the feet, or arms).

Every single morning I wake up and my arms are tingling or numb for some minutes... than it goes away.

Brief Answer:
Explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Parasitic or bacterial infections usually gives some signs in blood routine. In case of parasitic infections eosinophils will be raised and in bacterial infections neutrophils will be raised.
Other than tuberculosis there is one more to rule out which gives similar symptoms is brucellosis. You can check for brucella antibodies or PCR test to rule out this.
Parasites like tapeworm larvae can lodge in central nervous system and can give symptoms like that but in that case also in your routine blood tests there will be signs.
A consultation with neurologist and neurologic examination is well appreciated.
In case of B12 deficiency giving such problems, by taking supplements or injections of B12 will give fast results.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
