Question: I suddenly have had my hands and arms turn blue. Especially around the knuckles and palms. My left arm feels numb and tingling just as if it were asleep and now waking up. What is happening to me?

Brief Answer:
Were you exposed to cold temperatures?

Detailed Answer:
HI and thanks so much for this query.

Bluish discoloration of extremities is caused by decreased blood oxygen or excessive oxygen extraction by the tissue. This could also be caused by poor circulation resulting in blood stagnation. For now, I will recommend that you exercise the arms often and avoid exposing them to cold temperatures as these are often provoking and aggravating factors.

I hope this helps and guides. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
