What Causes Blood In Urine And Pain During Urination?

default
Posted on Mon, 31 Aug 2015
Question: I'm 29. Male. 6'0 tall, 145 lbs. I am experiencing blood in my urine. The last 3 times I have urinated today, there has been a little bit of blood, the blood shoots out, while urinating - but seems to be separate from the urine. I can feel it when the blood is going to and does shoot out - it almost shoots out like ejaculate, but it is happening during urination, followed by pain during urination. Can I wait it out and see if goes away? Possibly just an injury of some sort? Or do I need to see a doctor? Do I need to go to ER?

Brief Answer:
Painful Hematuria Needs work up, likely stone or infection

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. painful hematuria is always worth assessing So no dont wait and get evaluated. it mostly turns up to be renal stone. UTI is second most common probability.

Treatment will purely depends on underlying condition. This might include, for instance, taking antibiotics to clear a urinary tract infection, trying a prescription medication to shrink an enlarged prostate ( unlikely at your age to almost impossible ), or shock wave therapy to break up bladder or kidney stones.

So go to the doctor. get your urine sample analysed and if need be an abdominal ultrasound to sort out any calculus / stone and then treat accordingly.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Thanks. Doesn't sound too good.

What's my best option if I don't have health insurance and very little money right now?

You can go to ER they can run these baseline work up from there. You need treatment. A few antibiotics and if stone pray it's smaller than 7 mm. Will pass spontaneously.

Get treated as soon as possible.
