Brief Answer: Other viruses can enter along with Chickenpox Detailed Answer: Hi, Following chicken pox your immune system is busy fighting against this virus while other opportunisitic organisms would also try to enter and cause problems like cold, rhinitis, ear pain and block. They block the eustachian tube. It is important to get an examination by an ENT surgeon to see if everything is alright. You should continue to take the medicines suggested by your doctor. THere are no particular diet restrictions however it is better to eat bland and nutritious diet. Home freshly cooked food and staying indoors with ample amount of liquid intake is the key. Include fruit and green leaves every day. Vegetables are preferred to non vegeterian. Fish can be taken. Do not mingle with other till the last scab is formed and falls off. Hope this helps.
