What Causes Bloating, Gas Problem And Pain In Torso?

default
Posted on Wed, 11 Mar 2015
Question: I have been suffering from digestive disorders for almost 3 years. I have had 2 endoscopies, 1 colonoscopy, 3 hydrogen breath tests, bravo test, upper gi, barium Pipida test, several ultra sounds. I suffer from allergies, have nodules in my thyroid (recently placed on thyroid medicine 50 mcg (only can handle 25/day). Diagnosis to date: fructose intolerance and poorly functioning gallbladder (surgeon will not remove because I have problems that are making the gallbladder sick & its a innocent bystander). Recently, I have been unable to tolerate much of any food. I get bloated, gassy and have nerve ending type pain everywhere in my torso primarily in my midriff area. Now, I have been getting light headed and dizzy, weak legged. Could I be getting hypoglycemic due to poor eating? Getting very anxious and scared. No answers except IBS and those mentioned above. Functional disorders.

Brief Answer:
Relax and have a positive attitude

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
If all these tests and the numerous doctors have not been able to find an organic problem, believe them and be reassured that you have no major problem.
It is very easy to check your blood sugar. You can either have it done in a lab at the time of your symptoms or better still buy or borrow a glucometer and check it yourself when you have symptoms.
What you require most is to relax and have a positive attitude. Eat wholesome food, exercise at least 30 minutes a day, practice stress relieving measures like yoga, meditation or relaxation techniques.
Talk to a friend, engage yourself in some good activities that give you happiness and you will find that you are better without any medicine.
I shall be happy to answer any further queries.
Wish you good health and a good day

How can something make you feel so bad and there not be a solid cause? Several ER visits from the pain is making me one miserable person. The terms hypersensitivity, it takes time to figure these things out. Really? Three years is not enough time? Fibro also an issue. I am just trying to understand and get healthier, be happy and eat.
