Brief Answer:
Lifestyle modification plays an important role in treating gastritis

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have carefully and thoroughly gone through the problem that you have stated. You seem to have a problem with gastrointestinal motility. This forward peristaltic movement is responsible for moving the food matter downwards and forward through the intestines as the food gets digested, absorbed and converted into feces before it is expelled out as excreta. A slowing or irregularity of this movement makes things stagnate in between. Hence when the gastric acids get stagnated, you get bloating and acidity related symptoms including the gastritis or gastric ulcer.

Pantoseal (pantoprazole) is effective in reducing acid production and you need to take it religiously for one and a half months.
Drotaverine and antacids can be taken as required but I would not recommend any other medication.
Alongside you have to avoid long gaps between meals. Take some food every two hours. But the main solution would be in going for a fiber rich diet and dietary fiber supplements.
You may also use stool softeners.
Regular morning walk and exercise is a must. These would regularise the bowel movements and would thereby provide relief. Stress triggers acid secretion and hence you need to stay relaxed. Meditation and yoga can help.

I hope that you have been able to understand the pathophysiology involved. Try the measures suggested and that would help you to get back to your normal life.

Wish you all the best.

Brief Answer:
Chronic underlying causes need to be ruled out first.

Detailed Answer:
This amount of weight loss concerns me. I would request you not to ignore it. You need to be thoroughly clinically evaluated to rule out any chronic underlying illness which could be causing the weight loss. Please visit a doctor and get yourself assessed. The solution will vary depending upon the clinical findings.

Brief Answer:
Hoping to get tuberculosis excluded

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.
I am already aware of the reports mentioned. I am aware that you are unable to feed well due to the gastritis and that could be contributory. But I would like to exclude tuberculosis as a possible cause. A chest X ray should clear the confusion.
